Q: How can I get the most color payoff from Eye Pods?

Playfully referred to as "breaking the seal," Gucci's pro application trick for Eye Pods is all about warming up the pigment before you get started: "Even though the heart logo is so pretty, you really need to work past the initial layer and give the product playtime." It's an easy process with any new palette, but in today's video, Gucci uses Frappé, a cool brown tone from the new Rendez-Vous trio, to demonstrate the technique.

First, she swirls her Eye Shadow I Brush over the heart logo to break the top layer and help activate the clean, cream-powder formula. Eye Pods can also be applied with fingers, but a brush helps to flawlessly lay down the zero-fallout formula. This seal-breaking technique guarantees a more saturated wash of color every application, says Gucci, who finishes the look by blending and refining lids with Eye Shadow II Brush. Watch now to see how the perfect color payoff is just one step away.
