Today, she's unveiling two formats: the Baby Cheeks Blush Powder Duo and the Baby Cheeks + Face Trace Sculpting Powder Duo for a sculpted flush of color.
Each slick pink compact contains pretty pairings of the most luxurious, high-performance powder. “This formula is so light, so silky, it’s like a whisper on the skin, yet it’s so pigmented,” says Gucci, who worked with the lab to include micro-milled skincare ingredients like phytosqualane for smooth, streak-free application and volcanic rock to absorb excess oil. The result? An ultra-supple, soft-focus matte finish that builds or blends like a dream.
Inspiration for The Duos came from a page in Gucci's artistry playbook, where mixing tones is her secret to skin that looks like skin. There's The Sculpting Duos (Petal/Biscuit, Tulle/Truffle, and Poppet/Ganache), inspired by our best-selling blush and contour shades. And for for those who love to liven up cheeks by playing with color, there’s The Blush Duos (Suede/Sable, Fizz/Jam, and Coquette/Mimi), which offer striking yet nuanced color combinations that can be used together (or alone!).
Picking up Petal/Biscuit to demonstrate, Gucci sculpts with Biscuit powder contour first to create depth on the cheekbones and the bridge of the nose. Next, she sweeps on Petal blush and "connects the colors" for a joyful pop. When using The Blush Duo shades, Gucci applies the deeper shade first for dimension, then layers on the lighter shade: "This adds a touch of rosiness or a brightening effect depending on the palette.”
Available in three shades per format, The Duos are now available on Westman-Atelier.com, along with a brand new Powder II brush. "This tapered brush looks a bit like a bunny tail,” says Gucci, who crafted its ends and edges to effortlessly pick up powder color. “It brings freshness and precision to your application while the colors of The Duos breathe life into skin."
