Athena Calderone knows a thing or two about making everyday life more beautiful. The entertaining expert behind EyeSwoon (called a “modern-day Martha Stewart’  by The New York Times) has mastered a certain effortless, modern elegance in her chic interiors, dinner party tablescapes, and curated projects—like her namesake furniture collaboration with Crate & Barrel and her glossy stunner of a book, Live Beautiful.

Here, Gucci sits down with her longtime friend to make the most of her striking features and lingering tan, demonstrating the art of carrying summer’s glow into the new season. (“I feel like I’m getting a masterclass!” Athena says.) Gucci begins by prepping Athena’s skin with Suprême C Serum and Vital Skincare Complexion Drops, followed by some strategically placed spots of Vital Skincare Concealer and a sweep of Super Loaded Tinted Highlight in a new delicate pink shade, Peau de Peony, for flushed, dewy cheeks.

On eyes, Gucci applies “just a sliver” of black kohl pencil and wipes it partially off for a worn-in look — “that lived-in feeling of how it looks the next day, a little sexy” — and finishes off with the Lip Suede Les Nudes palette on lips. The result: “a version of you, but a little enhanced,” Gucci says.
