Halle Berry and Gucci go way back. The Oscar-winner (now starring in Never Let Go), producer,  advocate, and entrepreneur first met Gucci decades ago when they worked together on Revlon campaigns, and the pair reconnected recently at the Brilliant Minds conference in Stockholm. “We’re still here. And we're into our second act. Which is amazing,” Berry says.

Berry was at the event promoting her online platform, Re.Spin—a modern guide to all things menopause (and perimenopause!), with cutting-edge science to back it up. In this episode of “Makeup and Friends,” Berry recalls the spark that set off her own menopause journey—and what happened when she hosted a recent luncheon for a group of women, who took turns sharing stories of their personal experiences as they navigate the next chapter of midlife. What transpired was a moment of collective catharsis:  “I felt so empowered,” Berry says. “We have to start having the conversations and destigmatizing it.”

One way Berry is doing that is by shouting from the rooftops about Re.Spin’s new intimacy gel, made with ultra-clean ingredients, and a revolutionary red light therapy device for pelvic wellness, created in collaboration with Joylux. “It changed my life!” she shares at the first-ever Makeup & Friends Live, shot on location in New York City. It’s the first of many science-backed Re.Spin products sold on the platform, each designed to “move the needle” for women navigating menopause. “When women get to talking about it, it’s such a relief—‘oh my gosh I’m not crazy!’” she says. “I’ve always known that community is everything.”

Watch as Berry gets candid about everything from her hormone therapy ‘aha’ moment (hello, bioidentical testosterone) to her weights-focused workout and why her 50s are “the happiest I’ve ever been”’ on her way to the Never Let Go premiere.
