When Laure Hériard Dubreuil dreamed up The Webster, the cultish luxury fashion boutique she founded back in 2009, she wanted it to feel like shopping "one gigantic dream closet." That is to say: Playful, personal, and brimming with French-by-way-of-Miami prints and positivity. Its meteoric success, which includes creative collaborations with Chanel, Gucci, Off-White, and Paco Rabanne, as well as her own popular LHD fashion label, was no surprise to those who know her. As one of fashion's best-loved personalities, Hériard Dubreuil is warm, inclusive, funny, and thoroughly original—the best new girlfriend you met five minutes ago and the one whose closet, it's true, you always want to raid. This month, she brings her impeccable eye to your bathroom cabinet too, launching beauty at The Webster through a cherry-picked collection of her very favorite clean skincare, makeup, and haircare lines.
"It was a natural evolution," says Hériard Dubreuil, who recently lured two of beauty's most sought-after insiders to her SoHo boutique: Legendary Parisian hairstylist David Mallett, whose New York outpost is on the 5th floor, and superfacialist Joanna Czech, who sees clients for transformative skin treatments on the 6th. A self-confessed beauty obsessive, Hériard Dubreuil is equally passionate about what she uses at home. "It's very important, the products I use in the morning and the products I use at night," she says of layering on Joanna Vargas Daily Serum and Clarins Multi-actif Jour in the morning. After dark, there's Tammy Fender's Bulgarian Lavender body oil and The Webster's own signature neroli-scented hand balm and candles to wind down.
As for her personal approach to makeup? "It's totally the French girl look," she admits of a routine that includes dabbing on her favorite Baby Cheeks blush for a natural "bonne mine" glow along with a little bit of Super Loaded Tinted Highlight layered on top and a smudged rimming of black eyeliner. "My go-to is [Eye Love You] mascara—the whole experience is so beautiful and precious and puts you in a good mood," she says of bringing the Westman Atelier clean beauty collection from her own makeup bag to The Webster's retail universe. "For me, it's all about the eyes, that smoky Carine Roitfeld look." Think Parisienne ease, with the occasional dash of femme fatale smolder.
