"A month-long cleanse has become a ritual my husband and I commit to every January after loving how programs like Dr. Alejandro Junger's and Urban Remedy have made us feel. Each new year, we focus on eating clean, opting for fresh ingredients over anything processed and also limit refined sugar, gluten, and dairy (usually caffeine too)! It can be difficult, but the end result of better digestion, stronger focus, and improved sleep makes it 100% worth it!

This year got off to a slow start after recovering from COVID-19, juggling busy work and school schedules, and life in general—so my bandwidth for cooking was stretched thin. I still wanted a healthy refresh with a convenience factor, so I signed up for 12 days of Urban Remedy programs after a positive experience last year!

A look at a typical day on an Urban Remedy plan

To ease in, I started with Cindy Crawford's Essentials, a 3-day plan that's inspired by the supermodel, with many on-the-go, low-glycemic options. I like cleansing with clean meals instead of all liquids, and this program had some favorites like the Upbeet Vegan Cheeseburger Wrap for lunch and Organic Chickpea Coconut Curry with Kale for dinner. Since I'm a vegetarian, it was also easy to request a substitute for the chicken bowl on the menu.

Next, I went with the 3-day Signature Reset Plan that helps the body detox by focusing on ingredients with anti-inflammatory properties and eliminating added sugars. I'm used to consistently eating like this already, so I found the plan pleasant to follow but made minor adjustments like adding fermented cabbage onto salads for extra tartness. Feeling confident on my last day, I started the Metabolism Meal Plan to rev things up. I thought I might feel hungrier with lighter salads and juices, but surprisingly this mix with healthy snacks trickled in throughout, kept me satisfied.

For the last few days, I went back to the Cindy Crawford plan because it was my favorite! It worked so well with my schedule and the wraps are easy to eat en route to photoshoots or between meetings. Overall, Urban Remedy's new winter menu like the Forbidden Black Rice Salad and hot dinners were what I kept craving as they gave variety to mealtime. These delivery programs bring an ease to making healthy choices, especially when pressed for time and I'm looking forward to continuing the journey. Below is a look at my top five clean eats!"

The Organic Chickpea Coconut Curry with Kale was hands down the most delicious!
This Chlorophyll Refresh Lemonade was a mid-morning pick-me-up.
Snapsnot of the Forbidden Black Rice Salad's organic ingredients.

The portable and nutritious Upbeet Vegan Cheeseburger Wrap.

The Vegan Caesar is a staple in most plans and one of the best salads!
