Frequently Asked Questions

What is the coverage and finish of a Lit Up Highlight Stick?

Lit Up Highlight Sticks have a sheer, light coverage. The glassy finish will leave your skin (and lips!) looking dimensional and fresh.

What's the expiration date of a Lit Up Highlight Stick?

Lit Up Highlight Sticks have a Period After Opening (PAO) duration of 18 months and the shelf life of 36 months.

You can locate the Period After Opening (PAO) symbol on the bottom label of each product. The PAO symbol identifies the useful lifetime of a cosmetic product after its package has been opened for the first time.

Is Lit Up Highlight Stick vegan or tested on animals?

Lit Up Highlight Stick in Lit Up is vegan friendly. However, shades Nectar, Brûlée, and Biscuit may contain traces of carmine.

We do not test on animals during any stage of product development.

What is the difference between the Original and the Mini?

The original size of Lit Up Highlight Stick is full sized, .17oz/5g. The petite, travel-ready minis are .09oz/2.5g.

Each full size Lit Up Highlight Stick comes with a protective, drawstring pouch–while the Petite sizes do not.

The cap of the full size is magnetic while the cap of the mini needs to be manually snapped into place.

How do I choose the best Lit Up Highlight shade for my skin tone?

While there are no set rules, Gucci recommends choosing a Lit Up based on skin tone and mood. There's the original Lit, a glassy iridescent shade that's great on fair to medium skin with its cool undertone, or Nectar, a glassy golden peach that's on the warmer side to complement all skin tones. Brulée is a bronze gold with a warm color payoff that leaves a different effect based on the wearer: a sun-kissed glow on fair to medium skin—use it on cheeks, lips, and lids!—and a soft traditional highlight on deeper tones. Biscuit is a glassy tawny beige that is suitable fair to tan skintones.
