Inspired by Gucci's desire to find the perfect vanity and travel cases for keeping beauty products streamlined and organized, each design marries form with function."So much integrity, thought, and craftsmanship goes into each bag, and these are made by a father, daughter duo in Italy," says Gucci holding up The Train Case, which takes the expert artisans 20 hours to make with hand-painted detailing, gold foil, and coated hardware. The Métier team also performs quality control tests to stimulate 20 years of use, guaranteeing these will be forever pieces.
The second collection's Petite, Train Case, and new Oversized Train Case, are crafted with rich bouclé made from sustainably sourced, water-resistant straw that's incredibly sturdy. "Then, because of the heat seal, there's no mess!" she says of the black, color-blocked base that offsets any countertop spillage and easily wipes clean.
Those familiar with The Train Case will find that the bouclé edition also has six custom compartments for makeup sticks, compacts, or skincare and two zippered pockets that keep brushes and pencils together. Next comes the NEW oversized carryall that's a wider, even roomier take for more storage. "It's a sigh of relief for anyone that craves simplicity and organization for long-haul trips—or simply prefers extra space for skincare, perfume, supplements, and makeup."
