"Earlier this month, on October 18th, I turned fifty," says Gucci looking back on a weekend that was filled with memorable family celebrations. The festivities included an intimate, outdoor dinner planned by her husband and an extraordinary Westman Atelier lookalike cake that you just have to see to believe. "They say that fifty, it's the new thirty, and I have to agree! Physically I feel stronger than I ever have before, and I think that's because, at this age, we have a greater knowledge about ourselves and are attuned to what makes us feel better all around."

For the milestone birthday, Gucci played off the glistening sequin details of her Chanel jumpsuit to create a youthful, bronzy glow with a smoky eye. "I wanted to be warm and radiant but accentuate my eyes more than usual," she explains.

"At this age, we have a greater knowledge about ourselves."

Gucci started her skincare prep by smoothing on the new Goopgenes Repair Body Butter and gently exfoliating her face with Eminence Organic Skin Care's Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant. Next came a hydrating combo of Dr. Barbara Sturm's Brightening Serum and Costa Brazil's Kaya Anti-Aging Face Oil to revitalize the skin. She then used her favorite Koyo Ratania Miracle-K device for a quick lifting treatment and finished by prepping her canvas with Goopgenes Face Cream and a pipette of Dr. Sturm's Glow Drops for extra luminosity.

For makeup, Gucci reached for her brush set to blend a combination of Vital Skin Atelier II and IV (the lighter shade as a concealer and the deeper to add in warmth around the periphery of the face). Next, she filled in her brows with a Chanel brow pencil and used her four essential Westman Atelier products to create a sun-kissed look: A dusting of Beauty Butter Bronzer, followed by Super Loaded in Peau de Rosé along her cheekbones, which she then defined with Face Trace Contour Stick. Finally, a dab of Baby Cheeks in Chouchette to the apples gave an even brighter, peachy touch.

"Because this was a fun evening look, my eyes were a strong focus," she notes, "After blending a mix of shadows over my lids with our Eye Pods in Les Nuits, I used the tapered tip of Eye Shadow Brush I to line my eyes with the Noir shade for a dramatic effect. A finishing coat of Eye Love You Mascara was essential, plus a bit of Dusty Rose color for my lips, and a spritz of Henry Rose fragrance before heading out the door!"

While makeup can be a tool to feel confident at any age, Gucci also reflects that staying consistent with her wellness routine plays a big part. "This is an exciting time and I hope to continue to challenge myself throughout life—incorporating more mindfulness, learning from others, while always, just having fun!"
