Let’s be honest: Dry January is a challenge for those who love an evening glass of wine or Saturday night out socializing with friends. But, thanks to a wave of new masterfully crafted non-alcoholic beverages—and a growing demographic that prefers abstaining completely —it’s never been easier to commit to a cleanse.

“There are so many delicious alternatives these days that it doesn’t feel like a sacrifice,” says Gucci, who gave up alcohol for three months at the start of 2024. The inside-out benefits, she says,  were as instantaneous as they were impossible to ignore: “My skin looked great, and my rosacea flared less. I had less brain fog, my energy and focus felt more consistent, and even my workouts were better.”

Even all these months later, she says, her evening cocktail of choice during the week remains zero-proof. “My husband David and I are pretty addicted to knowing how good we feel now when we have a clear mind and a good night of sleep.”

Below, Gucci shares her favorite alcohol-free drinks to stock at home. They’re as satisfying as they are good for you.

 1. Aplos Calme

Aplos Calme is hands-down my favorite drink these days. It’s mild and satisfying, with a nice milky color. I drink it on ice with a squeeze of lemon and a splash of Fever Tree Sparkling Water at night. I even see Aplos spritzes turning up on restaurant menus lately!”

2. The Athletic Brewing Company

“The Athletic Brewing Company makes a light, non-alcoholic beer that David and I love to drink. It’s really refreshing and delicious. Sometimes I add a little squeeze of lime or orange, which reminds me of a Bitter Shandy but less sweet.”

3. Ritual Tequila Alternative

“At a Goop dinner last summer, I tried a spicy cocktail made with Ritual’s Tequila Alternative. It had a nice little kick, which is great for warmer weather or a winter beach escape.”

4. Rasavalda Rose Bergamot

“I keep a bottle of Rasasvada’s Rose Bergamot cold anda add it to the Aplos sometimes, almost like bitters. It has a hint of something floral and citrusy and tart. I love that each flavor contains adaptogens or functional mushrooms for a cognitive boost.”

5. Little Saints St. Ember

Little Saints St. Ember is spicy and smoky, with ginger and pepper. It’s a treat.”

6. French Bloom Le Rosé Sparkling Wine

“I haven’t yet tried one of the new sparkling wine alternatives but I’m intrigued for those moments when a toast is in order!  The model Constance Jablonski has French Bloom, which I’ve heard is delicious, and the California winery Lorenza has small batch organic options, too!”
