Q: Which shade combination from The Cheek Duos powder palettes is best for my skin tone?

Gucci's lightbulb moment for The Cheek Duos came from her method of playing with different tones to create the most authentic-looking skin. "I’ve always loved using complementary colors on the cheek," she explains, "Layering shades feels more real, less monochromatic, as if you’re breathing life into skin."

With that in mind, the team developed NEW powder formats for our best-selling Baby Cheeks blushes and Face Trace contours. Each palette delivers a dimensional flush of color and while there are six to choose from, finding your match need not be complicated. "Find a contour that suits your skin tone, then a blush duo that suits your mood," says Gucci. Here's how to pick an ideal shade combination for your complexion.

For a sculpted effect, try The Baby Cheeks + Face Trace Sculpting Powder Duo

Petal/Biscuit, Tulle/Truffle, Poppet/Ganache

These palettes combine new powder interpretations of our best-selling Face Trace contour stick shades with a beautiful range of pink blushes for definition and a pop of color. Petal/Biscuit features two fan-favorites side by side and suits light to medium skin tones looking for a rosy flush. Tulle/Truffle sculpts medium to tan skin tones and Gucci loves the new cool pink Tulle for its "ultra-flattering and smoothing effect on skin". Deeper skin tones could opt for Poppet/Ganache to lift features with "a fun, punchy pop."

For dimensional flush, try The Baby CheeksPowder Duo

Suede/Sable, Fizz/Jam, Coquette/Mimi

For blush, "It's nice to have options!" says Gucci who loves all the duos in this category equally. "Blushes are really about your mood—I like to switch them up depending on the occasion." Try Suede/Sable for "easy, weekend skin" as the two shades deliver a warm sun-kissed rosy look for light to tan skin tones. Fizz/Jam's bright watermelon flush and deep berry shades are universally flattering—just blend up for more intensity or down for a sheer and delicate effect. And Coquette/Mimi is perfect for light to medium skin tones in search of a brightening boost. When applying, Gucci sweeps on the deeper shade in the blush palette to add dimension and finishes with the lighter shade for a pop of color. You can't go wrong!
